What is Parental Alienation?

Parental alienation is when one parent damages or destroys a child’s relationship with their other parent.
This is a form a child abuse as defined by the DSM-5, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
This vicious form of abuse is often hidden, covert and confusing to those on the outside. To outsiders, it often appears that the child is rejecting the alienated parent of their own accord when in fact the child is being emotionally terrorized and manipulated by the alienating parent.
